Smiling:), Training Strong...Step ONE of MBG 3 Baby!!

video
My cat Boobie again making us smile:) He's an awesome little cat! This cant help but bring a smile to your face:)

Todays blog is simple...it's a general layout of my training, eating / drinking, balancing for the week!
MBG Training -
Monday / Wednesday / Friday -
usually drilling various climbing and crawling drills in alternating fashion and in progressively harder fashion as well...we call it doing 'work UP' sets....do this for about 5-8 sets!!!! SOUL TRAINING!!!!!
  1. handstand press ups (going down to touching chin to floor): 5 x 5 Been improving on this and feel real good about getting a press off parallettes soon! Do work up sets with the BXT and or the stall bars and it's working great!
  2. muscle ups: 5 x 5 either do kip muscle ups or work technique with various jump muscle ups OR we like to do kb weighted pullups OR soul training pullups....usually one of them each one day a week minimum....UNLESS we're doing J Rock which case we get a few in! J Rock still is my favorite as it does some many things i want in one workout!
OR WE DO:
J-Rock for 2 x 20+ reps STILL MY FAVORITE 'SOUL TRAINING' WORKOUT!!;
  1. HS press ups > HS pr up assisted > HSPU > type writer push ups > dips
  2. then
  3. muscle ups > pullups > chin ups > hand over hand rope climb (at 90 deg)
AFTER EITHER FINISHED WITH....HECK WE DO THIS DAILY AND BUMP IT UP EACH WEEK BY 10 AND 2 YARDS FOR EACH....AWESOME!!:
power wheel 60 yard crawl
back dome 12 yard crawl (these two are an amazing finisher!)

Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday -
mobile monkey training for 60 minutes...AWESOME!!!
OR
Heavy KB dead cleans to front squats, double or single arm snatches for about 5x5 each

NOTE: This way each week we're for sure getting in some strong pulls and leg work and the result is my legs are feeling really good and strong, balanced and ready to begin my jump training in a few weeks!! As you all might know i'm NOT a big KB user, but once in a while i like to do dead cleans, snatches. Recently i began doing them 2 times a week as a more mild way to prep my legs (strength and power) for jump training this spring. It's working well, my legs and knee feel good and stronger than in a few years so i'm very excited about jumping really high and full out this summer!!!:)

Next blog i'll write out my nutrition! Keeping it simple and strong!!!:)
Peace!
Jon
